Hello there! I work as an application engineer specialized in vision systems used for robot guidance solutions. The blue thing you see above the industrial robot is our company's 3D camera using laser and optics to obtain height images. In these images we can find objects and send the coordinates of these objects to a robot. The robot can pick them up and e.g. put them in a CNC machine (the big box). After the processing an inspection camera (with the round white LED) is used to verify the process went according to plan, by examining the product. This is just something I built for fun, no real life example, although inspired by my line of work.
