Story Rilmorn the half elf, tired and weary from his trek, looked up from the ground to see a strong castle, firmly built into the ancient stones of Icefell Mountain. He had left from the elven citadel of Liholondin in search of his friend, Rualin Mithros, who had been banished for helping an injured orc and sought aid from his human father, who was the knight in charge of this castle. Since then, he had been chased across the countryside by the Scarlet Brotherhood and by some pompous baron’s guards. (I guess that’s what he gets for stealing cookies from them.) He managed to elude them by running up a nearby mountain and won in a duel at an old ruin. Soon after escaping, he met another traveler, a young warrior named Friedhelm Günthersson, who seemed to be going in the same direction. Now, they were here, finally, at Castle Strombringer. Kuno von Strombringer stood at the top of the castle’s main tower, surveying the land below. He smiled when he spotted the one thing that kept him going … his son. He turned to the guard next to him and said,”Let the cook know that a feast is in order, Aschwin, for my son has returned.” The guard replied with glee because he was happy for Kuno and who doesn’t like lots of food, “Right away, sire!”

Hope you guys enjoyed the story and the castle! I started working on it in June 2019, but wasn’t satisfied with how it was turning out, so I took it apart and began rebuilding. 6 months later, in the Summer of 2020, I finally finished it. :) Special thanks to Isaac Snyder for giving me feedback along the way.

This turned out well! Great work incorporating a good variety of buildings into one compact castle.

Thanks @Isaac_S ! Compact, multi-building castles are better castles :)

Also, it’s still together, standing proudly on my bookshelf. I might update the photos eventually with better ones.
