This was a very interesting challenge and very satisfying to build, especially considering my looong hiatus from building 1:1 scale models. Took about 3 months and several Bricklink orders.
Here it is: the AX-50, a .50cal bolt-action sniper rifle, specifically modeled after the one in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019)
Length: 125cm / 4'1" Weight: about 4kg / 8.8lbs
Features include:
Working-ish bullet ejection system (works about 1% of the time, every time ;-) ) Magazine holds 5 rounds (which unfortunately look like yellow crayons) Working trigger Working magazine release A crazy ton of SNOT bricks The contents of my wallet and bank account Lots of time and also a lot of patience from my wife Most importantly: sufficient structural integrity (!)
(Detacheable-ish) attachments include:
Scope (quite heavy, yet sturdy) Working-ish red dot sight Flippable Iron sights Working (and quite steady) bipod
